Reply:Using the term Magnesium (II) nitrite is unneccesary since Mg is an alakali earth metal or IIA element. Had it been a transition metal, such as for example, Cu (copper), you would have to name the charge.
BTW dont do that bullcrap system for ferrous or ferric- its primitive and useless
