I teach the dog it's name and it shows me that it recognises it but it then forgets it's name and I have to teach it again and re-type it - even though I have already saved it. I can't yet teach it to sit/ feed it etc. Am going round in circles. Am I doing something wrong?
I have got Nintendogs. I keep naming my dog. It recognises me but I have to type the name in again %26amp; again.?
you do have to do it over and over, obviously you've never taught a real dog this kind of stuff. Just like real puppies, you have to teach them their name and the command words for actions you want them to do in order for them to remember it, also it helps if you pet them when they do the trick
Reply:You need to keep repeating it's name, and keep calling it constantly when it learns it. It can't learn it automatically and it will forget it if you don't keep saying it.

Reply:My nephew had the same problem.....your dog recognizes its name...but it doesn't KNOW it yet.....you need to keep repeating it..and doing it the same way...and eventually it will give you a message saying that he knows his name....
it is annoying...i know...thats why I gave up my own game..
Some times it could even be that they name might be too short, so you are saying it too fast...try using a longer name...and just keep at it for the first time....make sure you always pet your dog a lot too when he responds...i think that helps them learn quicker..and give treats
