How do I copy pictures from one computer to another with same name and folder name?

I want to move all my pictures from one computer to another. When I copy them onto the new computer what do I do so that they will have the same name and be in the same folder that they were in on the old computer. Ex. Picture named christmas in folder 2008.

How do I copy pictures from one computer to another with same name and folder name?
Email it to yourself and open in the other computor
Reply:There are two possible options i can think of.

Firstly, you can email the folder to yourself and open it on the other computer and save it.

The second option is to copy the folder onto a USB (Storage Device), plug the USB into the other computer and copy it from the USB to the computer.

Hope this helped.
Reply:As others have said you can copy the entire Pictures directory onto a thumb drive or other device and then copy the copies onto your new computer.

If you mean ust copy certain files from child directories it's hard to do this in Windows without copying eveything in the upper directories, but you can use robocopy from the command prompt. Type "help robocopy" without the quotes, in a command prompt for help or see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libra...

Older versions of Windows may not have this installed, in which case use xcopy. Type "help xcopy", again without the quotes for help or see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289483
Reply:Copy and paste all of your folders into an external hard drive and then copy and paste again onto your new computer, everything will stay the same.
Reply:email the folder to yourself and open and save it to your new one.
Reply:Try using a flash drive. All the names should remain the same.
