Silver weimaraner dog needs name. I'm naming my pets fabric pattern names. Paisley,Argyle. Any suggestions?

She is a solid beautiful silver/pewter color with clear sea green eyes. I want to name her something fitting and unique. I have named all my animals with fabric pattern names and would like to find her one. Just can't come up with anything. I've done a world wide search of fabric names. Sewing people please help.

I have a supersoft, silver grey throw in chenille that one of my dogs won for me.





Darlyn-girl... cool name... and a really easy way to come up with an AKC name and then (if breeding quality) way cool descendents names.
Reply:This is a little off the fabric pattern name. Since you said she is silver/pewter colored, I thought of jewelery patterns instead of fabric.





How about Byzantine? it's a beautiful, dense soft looking type of necklace, and you could call her Busy or Teeny or Zany for short!





Venezia is pretty too, but I've never heard of it before.





Back to the fabrics, though... If she was a boy, I'd have said Corderoy, but I don't know if that's good for a girl. How about Satin?

Reply:Qalamkari is a block printing technique - I think it would be an exotic and beautiful name. Other pattern names - Ikat, Damask, Batik, Jaquard.





Fabric names (other than the obvious Satin and Velvet) - Dimity, Epingle', Tarlatan, Gossamer, Huckaback (not very feminine, though!), Taffeta, Organza, Batiste.
