My daughter's name is Fiona. I absolutely love her name, and I think that it reflects our family's Celtic heritage. When I chose the name, when I was pregnant, I never even thought of the fact that the Princess from Shrek is named Fiona...Lots of people brought that up as soon as I told them though. My mom was worried everyone would call her an ogre. But since she was born nobody has even commented on the Shrek movie - she's just too adorable! Her middle name is Rosemary, after her great grandmother.





We're hoping to have a boy next, and if we do it'll be Liam Michael.
Reply:My name is Kristianne. It is pronounced Kris-chyarn. Well that was the way my mother intended it. But when people read it I get a whole different array of things ranging from Christian to Christina.





Most people will pronounce it Kristy-arne. I have to say that I do like have a "different" name, but my only advice would be this: Make sure that it is spelt the way you intend it to be pronounced. I have never had a nickname and never will - so spelling is imparative!





Oh and Vantasha reminds of that movie - FANtasia!
Reply:Ava's name is not different. Actually when she was born it wasn't a very popular name at all, now I saw it was on the top 5 girl names on a website. I didn't even know anyone named Ava, recently on Y!A I have seen at least 4 baby's named Ava.


Future children - Haven't thought about it.. because I am not having any more any time soon ha.. but I don't think I will name them anything too "different."
Reply:Well i like putting two names into one. I want to name my baby Gracelin Belle Marie. So instead of having 5 names she would only have four. And for everyone that thinks four names is horrible then i must be horrible. I have 4 names and i turned out fine. I knew how to spell ALL my names by the second grade, Mercy Sadie Mercedes ______. My last name is weird. And i have known how to spell all my names.

Reply:i think my girls have pretty names that are not crazy, but not common at all. my 2 yr ods name is Jazlyn. and my second daughter who is not born yet, im thinking of naming her Amaya.
Reply:Im naming my son Xanden Wyatt. :) And my daughter's name will probably be Xyla (zyla) Joy!

Reply:My daughters name is Audrey Marie (thats her first name) but she goes by Audrey. In my family it is tradition to have 2 names.
Reply:I'm sure they are great - but it boggles my mind as to why someone would call a little girl Zachariah.





No, spelling it wrong does not make it a girl's name.
