Not a good idea, unless you can find a pre-existing name that SOUNDS like a combination of your names -- coined names are too confusing for both kids and their teachers to deal with. Kids don't need their names to be a reason they get made fun of -- and they will.





If your name were Samantha and you husband's name was Lemuel, you could name a boy Samuel and pretend it was a combo name.

They have thousands of names based on first letter, origin, meanings and everything. I write books and a majority of my characters get their names by means of that site. It's a great site that can usually satisfy any name. =]

Reply:Use one name for first name and one for second and call them by both. My sister in law is Mary Helen, NOT Mary or Helen. She was named after her grandmother and mother.
