anyway, when my mom named me Stacy 37 years ago, she and my dad had never heard of a girl named Stacy.... It was typically a boy name....


Spelling it Stacy and Stacey are typically boy spellings, But Staci is typically the girl spelling....typically.





Anyway, I didn't pick my name, and yes I got made fun of, and yes it has now become more of a girls name.....


I bet some of you think that Heath Ledger, and Jake Gyllenhal are really gay too.

Reply:I knew one guy named Stacy and he hated his name. He uses it now that we are older but he always went by initials growing up and would correct the teacher on the first day of school. It is too feminine even though I like the name. It is ultimately your decision but I would give him a alternate middle name that he could also go by if he chose to.

Reply:Sure! I have an Uncle Stacy, and he is the greatest. He is so nice, so sweet, and he's a millionaire. He is very good looking, very lucky, and living the best life you could live. I think it is a great, great name. It is NOT a "girl's name". It is a unisex name, and is perfectly manly or feminine, depending on the person. Like Shannon or Leslie, it could go either way. if you like it, GO FOR IT!

Reply:i think it's a decent name, but perhpas consider Pacey instead. because stacy is usually a girls name, he may feel embarrased that there happnes to be a girl in his class with the same name. also, it helps to visualize what a man named stacy might look like. i don't picture a very masculine sort, but thats my opinion.
