I have trouble understanding the modern fad of giving girls traditional surnames as first names:
Murphy
Taylor
Bailey
Morgan
Cassidy
Suppose she falls in love with and marries some guy named Joe Riley? Her name will be Riley Riley!
I'm having a daughter and naming her Riley________Murphy i need middle name ideas?
Riley Marie
Riley Sue
Riley Renee
Riley Christine

Reply:It's neat to have a namesake... think about grandma's name- on either side, or even just a really good girlfriend. We used Eileen as my daughter's middle name, I don't necessarily LOVE the name, but the woman she's named after was a saint. I'm so glad we did it. OR look up names of goddesses.
That way when she asks you why you named her what you named her... you have a good answer. Not just "someone suggested it on Yahoo Answers!" (Not that I don't use this site constantly! I love it!)
